I love soup. I don’t know what it is about soup, but there’s something comforting about a hot bowl of soup. It’s been a while since I’ve had some, mostly because it’s been way too warm for soup.
The really good thing about soup is that you can make it ahead of time, and then freeze as much as you want. So…I could make some soup and freeze it for later! Yes, it’s obvious, but I tend to be obvious. You can call me…The Obvious Baker!
Anyway, back to soup. I don’t mind using the stove, but my favorite way of making soup is the crock-pot. The crock-pot is a magical, magical thing, and pretty much all I need to do is throw everything in, and let it cook all day. I may need to stir every once in a while, or add a few things every once in a while, but the crock-pot is a pretty low-maintenance way of making soup. Sadly, I don’t use my crock-pot as much as I should, which is a shame. Especially since I do love that crock-pot.
Soup is pretty easy, since you generally don’t have to do much work. Or at least with the soups I’ve made. I might have to chop something up here and there, but you just throw it in there and let it cook! Are there more involved soups? I feel like there are, but I haven’t come across any. If I did…it was a long time ago, and I probably ignored it.
I don’t really know what else to say about soup, but it’s definitely easy to make, and it freezes pretty well too. The possibilities are endless!
