Peanut Butter Cookies

I decided that this year, for Christmas, I’m going to make my mom and grandma something.  My grandma is getting a crocheted scarf and something else that’s crocheted.

My mom, though, is getting cookies.  She loves cookies, and what better gift than cookies that I made?  She’s getting chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies.  I found the recipe at King Arthur Flour, and this is one of my favorite peanut butter cookie recipes.

Ingredients: Brown Sugar, Baking Soda, Flour, Vanilla Extract, White Sugar, Salt, 1 Egg, Peanut Butter and Shortening

I used around 2.5 tablespoons of water, but I think it would have been just fine with 2 tablespoons.

I love peanut butter and have eaten it right out of the jar on occasion.  But since these cookies aren’t for me, I’ll have to freeze them.  I’m already thinking of making another batch, just for the heck of it.  Because I like making cookies and I like peanut butter cookies.

I wonder how they’d taste if I added some cocoa powder…that could be a very yummy combination.  If there’s any combination of food that I love, peanut butter and chocolate are at the top.

Have a great weekend!
